it's different here, some days it boots fine, other days it won't boot. the problem is i have no idea what the difference is between the two situations. i don't think it is a drive problem, as it has a western digital that is brand new and worked fine in windows 7. my idea is that it has something to do with the safe boot option. maybe because i've updated in the past 12 months or something.

it will sometimes get stuck at the windows boot screen. sometimes i can get in but sometimes it just seems to be frozen. this happens both in safe and normal mode. i've tried both the safe and normal options for the boot menu, and i've tried holding down shift to get into safe mode, and it will still freeze up. sometimes it will boot fine in safe mode, but other times it will stop loading. i don't know what to do next.

i am using the 64bit version of windows 7. when i installed the computer a month or so ago, the registry was corrupted and it was totally unresponsive for about a week. for a while i thought it was because i had a hard drive failure, but i've recently been getting the message "this computer is running in low graphics mode". i updated the graphics drivers, and i've restarted my computer and it still comes up with that message. i'm having trouble deciding what to do next.

ok, so last night i gave up. i'm having trouble finding support for this computer. i don't know what to do. i cannot get in to safe mode to edit the registry, and i can't seem to figure out how to get my computer into the normal mode where i can fix the registry. i don't know what to do, and i'm starting to think that it's the motherboard.

i was wondering if there is some kind of power surge that may have caused this problem. i know i was turning off my
